THE kids who took part in the ‘I LOVE MALAYSIA’ Drawing & Colouring contest at New World Park today had great fun as they attempted to win the prize trophies for their efforts and love for the country.
Organised by the service centres of the assemblymen for Padang Kota, Komtar and Pengkalan Kota as well as Tanjong DAP Wanita, the finale of the event greatly excited the participants as some of their names were announced and the winners received their trophies and certificates of participation from Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow.
Earlier on, assemblymen Daniel Gooi (Pengkalan Kota) and Teh Lai Heng (Komtar) and Tanjong Wanita chief Tan Lean Kee also gave out the trophies to the participants under the various categories.
The event also sponsored by New World Park and Loh Guan Lye Specialist Centre.
After the prize-giving ceremony, many who were present were caught by surprise as Chow together with the kids sang ‘Saya Anak Malaysia’ and ‘Sejahtera Malaysia’.
