Event organiser J. Selvakumar shared that Penang was chosen as the festival’s host due to its deep historical connection with Indian migration.

“Penang was the first landing point for many Indians in Malaysia.

“This event will attract Indians from all over the world, and we even have a dance group from Canada performing,” said Selvakumar, who also helped organised last year’s Global Organisation of Tamil Origin (GOTO) event in Penang.

Sundarajoo echoed this sentiment, highlighting the state government’s support for hosting such grand events.
