COME May 28, the Penang Asia Comic Cultural Museum (PACCM) at ICT Level 2, Komtar will be officially launched by Chief Minister
Lim Guan Eng.
Joining the Chief Minister will be consuls-general from various countries and representatives from 15 museums, Special officer for Youth
Development Teng Kok Liang told a press conference at Komtar on April 10.
Also present were president of Malaysian Mandarin Comic Section, Roy Chan, Penang Asia Comic Cultural Museum manager Ching Yoke Kong
and comic artist from Hong Kong, Tony Wong.
Teng said there will be comic artists forums on May 28 and 29 at the museum and at Level 5, Komtar Auditorium A.
“Comic fans are also encouraged to take up the special package to participate in activities at the two-day function from May 28 to 29.
“Tickets are priced at RM70, with entitlement for multiple entrance for two days, entrance to four forums, free T-shirt of the museum and a
special design note book.
“However, registration is only open to the first 120 participants,” he said, adding that those interested should contact the museum’s public relation
officer, Ewe Teik Siang, at 0178866599.
This is a project managed by an agency under the Penang state government, hence, there are four languages used in the museum to give it a truly
Malaysian feel.
