RATEPAYERS residing on the mainland are encouraged to settle their assessment tax to be eligible for the lucky draw contest organised by the Seberang Perai Municipal Council (MPSP).
MPSP president Datuk Rozali Mohamud said ratepayers had to fulfil certain requirements to qualify for the lucky draw.
“The assessment tax for this year and last year have to be settled in full. The payments must be made during the contest period, from July 1 to Aug 31 this year.
“Payments can be made at MPSP counters, MPSP website or even agents appointed by council,” he told a press conference after the full council meeting at the MPSP headquarters in Bandar Perda today.
A total of 20 prizes are up for grabs, including RM1,000 cash for the first to fifth prizes.
There are also telecommunication equipment and electrical appliances for the sixth to fifteenth prizes.
Those who paid at the counter would also be entitled to another lucky draw, where they could win five prizes of RM200 each.
“MPSP had collected RM87.2 million in assessment tax from Dec 1 last year to Feb 28 this year during the earlier lucky draw contest period,” Rozali said.
