STATE Youth and Sports executive council together with Aspirano Manangement Sdn Bhd will organise the ‘Level Up Dance Competition 2018’ on December 15.
This competition hope to unveil dance talent and also present a good platform for youth to showcase their potentials.
Exco for Youth and Sports, Soon Lip Chee said at a press conference today at Komtar to announce the event.
He added this competition has started in early October country wide through the channel of online entrance.
“Competitors will upload their dance video clip and the judging committee will choose the best 20 teams for the final round. So far some 150 entries have been received.
“The final round will be held at Dewan Tunku Abdul Rahman University College (TAR UC) on Decemmber 15, from 7.00pm to 11.00pm, where 20 teams will vie for the championship.
“During the night, three famous dance instructors will be the judges. They are namely Alex Popinrex and Kai Beng from Malaysia and also Caroline Xu from China,” Soon commented.
There will also be a unique performance from Unplug Live Band and Happy Youth Gymnastik Team.
The champion for the Level Up Dance Competition 2018 will walked away with prizes worth RM20,000, which include cash prize of RM3,000 and air tickets and accomodation at dance academy in Taiwan.
Soon also expressed his gratitude to the sponsors of the competition, which include The Six Cantonese Restaurant, Sun Yong Hair, Wiitrac Elevator Sdn Bhd and Humble Beginning.
Tickets for the Level Up Dance Competition 2018 opened for sale on November 1, with each ticket prized at RM50.
