GURNEY Paragon Mall is illuminated with red lanterns and Chinese New Year-themed decorations to usher in the Year of the Wood Snake on Jan 29.
With vibrant celebrations themed ‘WonderFù Fortune,’ this year’s motif reflects transformation, prosperity, and positive change, heralding a new beginning.
The grand decoration launch by Hunza Group beautifully encapsulates the spirit of adaptability, positivity, and abundance.
State Social Development, Welfare, and Non-Religious Committee chairman Lim Siew Khim, who was the guest of honour, expressed her delight with the festive preparations for the upcoming Lunar New Year.
“This New Year symbolises transformation and renewal, as Chinese New Year is always a time of hope, optimism, and fresh beginnings.
“I am truly impressed by Gurney Paragon Mall’s effort in curating such an immersive festive setting.
“This Chinese New Year occasion upholds the importance of family harmony, social relationships, and giving back to society,” she said during her speech at the event yesterday (Jan 9).
Lim underscored the need to embrace the spirit of WonderFù Fortune by working together to create a prosperous and harmonious community.
Hunza Group executive director Khor Tze Ming expressed her enthusiasm for the celebrations, highlighting the vibrant and festive atmosphere created at the mall.
“Looking ahead, we are also excited to welcome various renowned brands making their regional debut at Gurney Paragon Mall,” she said, mentioning brands like San Xi Lou and Luk Fook.
Starting this weekend, Khor announced an exciting lineup of festive events and activities.
“Shoppers can spend a minimum of RM188 at Gurney Paragon Mall, and receive an exclusive set of red packets and a token to participate in the Huat Gashapon,” she said.
Tourism Malaysia Northern Region director Abdul Hadi Che Man expressed pride in the decorations, which contribute to the tourism industry.
The launch ceremony also featured a captivating lion dance performance and an electrifying drum showcase, setting a joyful and auspicious tone for the celebrations.
