The recent downpours have caused devastating floods across Kelantan, leaving widespread destruction in most districts of the state.

In response to the crisis, the Penang Island City Council (MBPP) has stepped up by mobilising essential aid, including machinery and household necessities, to assist the flood victims.

MBPP Mayor Datuk A. Rajendran announced that two MBPP teams – comprising 30 volunteers and six drivers – will head to the severely affected Pasir Mas district.

“Apart from providing manpower and vehicles, we have also prepared dry food supplies and essential items such as towels, mineral water, diapers, and more to support the victims,” Rajendran said during the flag-off ceremony held in front of the City Hall at Esplanade earlier today.
