INDUSTRY stakeholders, collectors, designers, and jewellery enthusiasts are invited to experience the much-anticipated third edition of the Malaysia Gold & Jewellery Trade Exhibition 2025 (MGJE 2025)!
Set to take place from May 9 to 11 at the Setia SPICE Convention Centre, this prestigious three-day event promises to be a hub of business opportunities and a celebration of gold and jewellery artistry.
Jointly organised by the Province Wellesley Gold & Silver Ornament Merchants Association (PWGS) and the Malaysia Gold Association, MGJE 2025 enjoys strong backing from the state Tourism and Creative Economy office (PETACE) through the Penang Convention and Exhibition Bureau (PCEB).
As Malaysia’s premier international jewellery trade fair, the event will gather 150 exhibitors and is expected to attract over 10,000 visitors—further solidifying its position as a key driver of industry growth and innovation.

PWGS president Law Chin Hooi highlighted the exhibition’s role as a strategic platform for professionals in the gold and jewellery sector, facilitating networking and expanding access to international markets.

“This year, 25% of our exhibitors will be international participants from China, Singapore, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), reinforcing Penang’s reputation as a global hub for jewellery trade and innovation.
“MGJE 2025 also will showcase Malaysia’s exceptional gold craftsmanship alongside the latest advancements in jewellery design.
“Visitors can look forward to an immersive experience featuring stunning gold jewellery collections, cutting-edge mechanical technology with over 20 machines from China, and packaging companies offering exclusive product samples,” Law stated at a press conference held at the Setia SPICE Convention Centre in Bayan Lepas today.
Also present were Penang Tourism and Creative Economy Committee chairman Wong Hon Wai, PCEB chief executive officer Ashwin Gunasekeran, Federation of Goldsmiths and Jewellers Associations of Malaysia (FGJAM) president Datuk Chiah Hock Yew and Malaysia Gold Association honorary secretary Datuk Abdul Wahab Hamid.
Wong described MGJE 2025 as a must-attend event for both local and international jewellery industry professionals.

“This exhibition is a powerful platform for fostering business collaborations, exchanging market insights, and identifying new growth opportunities,” he said.
He noted that the participation of exhibitors from China, Singapore, and the UAE underscores Penang’s strategic position in the global jewellery sector.
“Their involvement not only enhances trade prospects for local industry players but also opens doors for cross-border partnerships and knowledge exchange, further strengthening Malaysia’s standing in the international jewellery market,” Wong explained.
Wong also emphasised the economic significance of the gold and jewellery sector, describing it as a vital pillar of Malaysia’s economy.
“The industry’s robust growth reflects strong market demand and underscores Malaysia’s steady progress in the international jewellery trade.
“With a vision to position Malaysia among the world’s top ten gold and jewellery exporters, MGJE 2025 plays a pivotal role in advancing this strategic ambition.
“This exhibition acts as a bridge, connecting Malaysia’s gold and jewellery industry with global markets, propelling the nation towards its aspiration of becoming a major international jewellery hub,” Wong concluded.
