A TOTAL of 30 primary school students gained exposure to coding skills at the Penang Digital Library thanks to state exco member for Tourism Development, Heritage, Culture & Arts Yeoh Soon Hin who made the necessary arrangement with Telebort and CMI.
Recognising the growing needs for skills related to Industrial Revolution 4.0, Yeoh said such skills are now considered a necessity especially for students who are still schooling.
“The state government recognises the importance of STEM education, so it’s most timely that such coding classes are held for these kids from time to time for them to gain the necessary exposure to coding skills. Todays, these students from Kong Min School No. 2 would benefit immensely,” Yeoh, who’s also Paya Terubong assemblyman, said.
