THE Penang State Sports Council (MSNPP) and VitaHealth renewed their partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony at Komtar, today.
State Youth, Sports, and Health Committee Chairman Daniel Gooi, who witnessed the ceremony, said that the previous collaboration with VitaHealth had proven beneficial to the athletes’ performance at SUKMA 2024 in Sarawak.
“This is our second collaboration, and we believe it will continue to give our SUKMA athletes a competitive edge while contributing to the overall development of sports in the state,” Gooi said.
As part of the renewed agreement, Gooi said that VitaHealth will provide RM100,000 worth of health supplements and T-shirts over a 12-month period to support Penang athletes preparing for SUKMA 2026 in Selangor.
“These health supplements will not only support physical performance but also serve as motivation for our athletes to strive for excellence.
“I would like to thank VitaHealth for their continuous support, and hope that more corporate sponsors will come forward to collaborate with MSNPP in developing the sports scene in Penang,” he added.
MSNPP was represented by its director, Harry Chai, while VitaHealth was represented by Dr K.S. Beh, chief executive officer of Vita Life Science (Malaysia & Singapore), who both took part in the MoU signing ceremony.

Gooi also said shared that private companies partnering in such initiatives will be entitled to tax exemptions.
Apart from that, Gooi said MSNPP has established ‘IMPACT’, a working committee tasked with managing the sports financing programme to secure sponsorships for the council.
“The committee members of IMPACT will comprise of corporate professionals with vast experience and expertise in the business sector, particularly in securing corporate sponsorships.
“They will also assist in bringing strategic partners not only from Penang but from across the nation to support sports development in the state,” he said.
According to, Dr Beh, the health supplements will not only provide essential nutrition but also aid in the injury recovery process.
She said, the supplements include vitamin C, multivitamins, probiotics, calcium, and anti-inflammatory ingredients for muscle recovery.
Meanwhile, Chai shared that the council has requested the renewal of the partnership with VitaHealth to ensure that Penang athletes remain competitive in SUKMA.
