THE state government always prioritises the welfare of its athletes, says state Youth, Sports, and Health Committee chairman Daniel Gooi.
Gooi said this during the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony between the Penang State Sports Council (MSNPP) and VitaHealth at Komtar today.
“VitaHealth will be sponsoring health supplements worth RM100,000 to a total of 15 sports associations representing 15 various sports.
“We hope that the health supplements would serve as an encouragement for our athletes in terms of their performances, especially those participating in the upcoming SUKMA 2024 to be held in Sarawak,” he said while thanking VitaHealth for their willingness to be a health supplement partner.
Gooi also added that sports nutrition plays a vital role in athletes’ performances.
According to Gooi, through this collaboration, VitaHealth will be sponsoring health supplements for one year. He also hoped that the partnership could be prolonged.
“I would like to extend an invitation to all the other companies related to the sports industry as well as other relevant industries that are keen on developing sports in the state, to collaborate with us.
“MSNPP is more than willing to work with all parties and is open to receiving any form of assistance whether financial support or sponsorship such as sports equipment.
