THE Taman Bayu Recreational Park in Mak Mandin now looks more vibrant with the newly painted mural art.
The mural art at the park was officially launched by Bagan MP Lim Guan Eng and state executive councillor Soon Lip Chee, who is the Bagan Jermal assemblyman on March 26.
It is learned that apart from the mural art, the upgrading of the jogging track at the park has also been completed.
Soon, during his speech at the ceremony, said former Mak Mandin Village Community Management Council (MPKK) chairman, the late S’ng Beng Hwa, had contributed much to the well-being of the local community.
“The late S’ng did a lot for the betterment of the community and he will stay in our hearts forever.
“I would like to thank his family members as well as mural artist Teoh Bing Xin for their presence here,” Soon said.
It is learned that the Taman Bayu Recreational Park upgrading work was the last project that S’ng was involved in with YB Soon’s team before he passed away on Oct 16, 2021.
He was the Mak Mandin MPKK chairman, under the Bagan Jermal constituency since 2016, and was known as a dedicated and responsible leader.
There are a total of 12 murals art of various flowers painted on the wall at the park and one painting of the late S’ng, as a gesture of honouring him.
The jogging track upgrading project, which cost some RM35,000, was borne by Soon.
Also present was Senator Dr R.A. Lingeshwaran.
