“Environmental protection is a pressing issue that requires everyone’s participation. We hope everyone will take action and join our environmental movement to protect our home together.

“There is only one Earth. So, let us work together to cherish it, protect it, and restore its former beauty with clear waters and green mountains. Let us join hands and create a more liveable and beautiful home for all!

“After all, I believe that as long as each of us plays our part, we can together create a powerful force for positive change in environmental protection,” Syerleena said in her speech before opening the recycling station at Gurney Paragon Mall yesterday (March 30).

Also present were Penang Island City Council (MBPP) councillor Lee Seng Hwai, Penang Department of Environment director Norazizi Adinan and Decent Industry managing director Vincent Tan Kooi Huat.

Syerleena added that all proceeds earned from the recycling station would also be donated to charities or schools.
