FIRST-TERM Seri Delima assemblyman Connie Tan Hooi Peng is committed to doing her best for her constituency.

Tan said she is very grateful to have a stellar team of volunteers during the election campaign.

“My victory for the Seri Delima constituency in the recently concluded state election would not be possible without the support from everyone in my campaign team.

“To all of my campaign team, a big thank you and kudos for your courageous and conscientious efforts throughout the election campaign.

“This victory in Seri Delima is not only for me but a victory for my team and the people in the constituency as well.

“Rest assured, I am fully committed to serving the Seri Delima constituency and fulfilling all my election promises to the people there,” she said during a special appreciation dinner for the Seri Delima DAP election machinery at Jen Hotel in George Town today.

Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow, who was present, congratulated Tan for her victory in the recently concluded state election.

“I want to also congratulate Tan’s team for working tirelessly to ensure her victory.

“The victory is just the beginning, I hope Tan will continue to work hard for the constituency and fulfil all her promises.

“I am confident that Tan will be a very good elected representative for Seri Delima as she has been active in politics for over 10 years, despite her young age.

“She has also served in the Penang Island City Council (MBPP) for eight terms. So, I am sure she has everything it takes to serve the people in her constituency,” said Chow.

Also present during the appreciation dinner were Deputy Finance Minister II Steven Sim Chee Keong, who is also the Bukit Mertajam MP, Bukit Gelugor MP Ramkarpal Singh, who is also the Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Law and Institutional Reforms), Jelutong MP R.S.N.
