RESIDENTS staying near the Relau Tua Pek Kong Temple can now travel safely with ease, thanks to the newly resurfaced road in the area.
Bukit Gelugor MP Ramkarpal Singh said road repair works began immediately following complaints by residents in the area.
“There were potholes and uneven surface on several parts of the road causing danger to road users.
“Repair works on the 200m road were completed end of last month.
“The cost is around RM33,000,” Ramkarpal said, adding that the cost was borne by his parliamentary allocation.
Also present were Paya Terubong assemblyman Yeoh Soon Hin and the temple committee chairman Quah Ah Hai.
Quah thanked the elected representatives for looking after the neighborhood.
