A TOTAL of RM271,000 worth of medical equipment was donated to government hospitals, alongside the construction of a new classroom at SJK (C) Keng Koon in Bukit Tambun.

Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow, who attended the ceremony, expressed gratitude to Persatuan Penduduk Taman Tambun Indah dan Kelab Wanita for their efforts in supporting both government hospitals and the school.

“They have done tremendously well in addressing healthcare needs and enhancing the pupils’ learning environment since their establishment some 20 years ago.

“I believe that the medical equipment donated will be fully utilised in case of any emergencies. Its usage will significantly help those in need,” he said.

Chow also commended the noble effort by Persatuan Penduduk Taman Tambun Indah dan Kelab Wanita for organising the nine-day vegetarian lunch box charity sale in October last year.

“They have generated RM306,000 from the event, with the proceeds benefitting the community, and some private companies,” Chow added.
