THE participants of the 32nd Raja Muda Selangor International Regatta 2022 took the opportunity to let their hair down at a dinner hosted for them at the picturesque Leong San Tong Khoo Kongsi in Penang last night.
Some 200 top sailors from over 30 countries enjoyed the sumptuous dinner as well as had plenty of fun.
The Leong San Tong Khoo Kongsi, better known as Khoo Kongsi, is a large Chinese clan house with elaborate and highly ornamented architecture.
The participants had initially sailed from Port Klang to Pangkor and then to Penang.
The event, which started on Nov 18, will end in Langkawi on Nov 26.
Among the distinguished diners were state Tourism and Creative Economy Committee chairman Yeoh Soon Hin and Tengku Amir Shah, the Crown Prince of Selangor.
The Raja Muda Selangor International Regatta is a challenging annual sailing event organised by the Royal Selangor Yacht Club.
It consists of three overnight passage races, 260 miles in total, including three days of harbour racing around the tropical islands of Penang, Pangkor and Langkawi.
