AUDIENCES from all walks of life turned up to catch the ‘Ola Bola’ film screening at Pulau Tikus on Sunday.
Jointly organised by the constituency’s office with the Information Department, it was aimed at fostering a closer bond among the community.
Pulau Tikus assemblyman Chris Lee Chun Kit said the local film, which had gained its popularity and attracted various people, was showcased again to relive the glory days of Malaysian football and the strong sense of camaraderie among the players.
He said the local film showed how important nation building was as the players from different races fought for one another to qualify for the 1980 Moscow Olympics.
“It shows the importance of unity in a nation to order to achieve something,” he said before the film started.
Those who attended event were also given a pop-corn treat.
