THE Penang Island City Council (MBPP) will be opening the online registration for its vacant stalls at 23 locations starting tomorrow till Aug 22.
MBPP councillor Nicholas Theng said a total of 195 stalls are available for rent at hawker complexes and markets under the council.
“Those who are interested can apply via our portal (https://elesen.mbpp.gov.my) from tomorrow.
“Please make sure that the contact number is given correctly because we will notify the applicant on the status of his or her application through WhatsApp.
“Once the application has been approved, the successful applicants will be invited for an online open interview on Aug 30.
“For that, we want to encourage the applicants to instal the Zoom app as we will be using it to conduct the interview,” Theng told a press conference held via Zoom this afternoon.
Theng added that the 195 stalls would also include the 24 vacant units available at the new market and food complex at the Teluk Kumbar Heights.
“It will comprise eight market stalls and 16 food court stalls.
