JOB seekers are encouraged to attend the Karnival Harapan Rakyat (People’s Hope Carnival) at the McCallum Community Centre in George Town on July 28 from 10am to 5pm.

Organised by Community Madani CY Choy in conjunction with the Madani Community JIWA Programme, the carnival will feature 26 booths.

“Out of the 26 participating booths, 19 will offer job opportunities while seven will feature agencies such as the National Registration Department, Employees Provident Fund and others.

“We have several corporate companies and factories looking to hire. I hope those seeking employment will seize the opportunity,” Wong said at a press conference at his service centre today.

“Old identification cards (ICs) can be exchanged for new ones, which can be collected at the Urban Transformation Centre (UTC) in Komtar within 30 minutes. Birth and death certificates can also be issued at the carnival.

“Those who want to inquire about EPF withdrawal from Account Three are welcome.”
