IN celebration of Penang Adventist Hospital’s (PAH) 100th anniversary, a commemorative stamp collection was launched today.
State Tourism and Creative Economy Committee Chairman Wong Hon Wai, who was the guest of honour at the event, congratulated PAH on winning the Global Health Asia-Pacific Healthcare and Hospital Awards for the second consecutive year.
“I also commend you on your re-accreditation with the prestigious Health Promoting Hospitals (HPH) network, as well as the recent Certificate of Appreciation from the Ministry of Health for your outstanding efforts in the Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative.
“These honours reflect your relentless pursuit of outstanding medical care and your deep commitment to serving the community, a legacy that has been nurtured for over a century.
“It is my sincere hope that PAH will continue this noble mission for many more years to come, serving as a beacon of hope and excellence in Penang’s medical care,” Wong said during his speech at the launching ceremony at PAH.
Also present were Pulau Tikus assemblyman Joshua Woo, PAH chief executive officer Albin Phua, PAH group president Ronald Koh, PAH marketing director Caleb Lim, POS Laju state retail manager Mohd Sukri Ramli and POS Laju Pulau Tikus branch manager Muhmad Ali Akbar.
Phua shared that stamps, in many ways, encapsulate heritage, preserving moments and milestones for future generations.
“Our stamp collection is a testament to our journey and a tribute to the legacy we carry forward,” he said, while thanking those who have contributed to PAH’s wonderful journey.
Woo highlighted that PAH has not only provided exemplary care to its patients but has also served as a source of hope, comfort, and inspiration to the broader community.
The commemorative stamp collection is a limited and exclusive release, available only at the Adventist Bakery.
