IN a monumental milestone, Penang Adventist Hospital, commonly known as PAH, is gearing up to celebrate its 100th anniversary next year.
Established in 1924, the hospital has played a pivotal role in providing comprehensive, competent and excellent healthcare service for all.
As part of the celebrations, PAH is embarking on a unique journey through time, encapsulating a century of growth and accomplishment.
PAH charity manager Jenny Ooi said the hospital has meticulously curated a special calendar that vividly captures the essence of its journey from a small seed in 1924 to a towering tree in 2024.
“The calendar is not just a visual representation but a thoughtful concept, aiming to showcase the transformative stages of PAH’s evolution over the past 100 years.
“Each page is a testament to the organisation’s commitment and the relentless pursuit of its mission,” she told Buletin Mutiara during their visit to Komtar today.
State Communications director Yap Lee Ying received Ooi and her team when they arrived.
Expressing gratitude for the unwavering support of the press, PAH distributed the calendars to media outlets as a token of appreciation for their integral role in sharing the organisation’s story with the world.
In addition to sharing the commemorative calendar, PAH has outlined an ambitious plan for its centennial celebrations.
“Our team will host five fundraising events aimed at supporting its ongoing initiatives and future endeavours. Two corporate social responsibility (CSR) programmes are also in the pipeline, demonstrating PAH’s commitment to giving back to the community that has been an integral part of its journey.
“On the marketing front, PAH is set to roll out a series of branding and awareness events to engage a wider audience,” Ooi said.
She expressed enthusiasm about reaching this remarkable milestone and emphasised the significance of reflecting on the past while looking forward to an exciting future.
