A HEART-filled event, called the ‘Loop Doop Discovery Walk,’ is scheduled to take place at the Penang Botanic Gardens on Sept 24, courtesy of Penang Adventist Hospital.
Hospital chief executive officer Ronald Koh said while the event is aimed at raising funds for its Patient Heart Fund, it will also be a day where families, children and community members can come together to learn, engage and celebrate heart health.
“Loop Doop Discovery Walk is not only a celebration of heart health but an opportunity for every participant to take home valuable insights and skills for a healthier future.
“To our partners, sponsors and supporters, I extend my heartfelt gratitude for your belief in our cause.
“Your contributions magnify the impact of this event, and together, we will make a difference,” Koh said in his speech during the press conference at the hospital today.
It is learnt that the hospital aims to raise a total of RM200,000 through this event, of which RM148,000 has been raised.
To successfully reach the target, Koh has encouraged the public to donate generously towards the fund.
Due to the overwhelming response from the public, registration for the event is now closed.
During the event, sponsors and partners have agreed to sponsor gifts for the lucky draw session and multiple educational booths will be made available for the people to learn more about heart health.
Event partners and sponsors include PG Cycle Spot, Parkroyal Penang Resort, Courtyard by Marriott Penang, Eastern and Oriental Hotel, Shangri-La Rasa Sayang Penang, Project Rock, Shangri-La Golden Sands Penang, Howei Events, Eastin Hotel Penang, LEGO, Odd Crafter, Kohii Board Game Café, Hompton By The Beach Penang, Entopia by Penang Butterfly Farm, The Habitat Group, Viatris Malaysia, Adventist Life Support Education Centre, Adventist College of Nursing & Health Sciences, Iconic Medicare, Adventist Bakery, Melody Kindyland, B&G Education Centre and Leaderland Leadership Preschool & Primary Daycare.
