THE next 36 hours are very crucial for Pakatan Harapan to realise its goal of recapturing Putrajaya, says Penang Pakatan Harapan chairman Chow Kon Yeow.
“We have entered the second last day before polling day.
“I believe Pakatan Harapan has managed to convey the importance of the coming general election to give Harapan a second chance to transform and change the Federal Government. This is unless Barisan continues to rule.
“We know that it is a challenging task, but we think from the response, we are getting very near to winning Putrajaya.
“We just need to push a little bit harder in the next 36 hours,” Chow said after his walkabout in Kampung Tersusun in Simpang Ampat.
The polling day is set for Nov 19 (Saturday).
Chow and his team were welcomed by Bukit Tengah assemblyman Gooi Hsiao-Leung when they arrived at Kampung Tersusun.
They had earlier gone to Taman Perwira in Bukit Tengah for a walkabout.
Joining Chow at the walkabout at Kampung Tersusun were Yeoh Soon Hin, the state executive councillor for Tourism and Creative Economy, Yeoh’s officer Grace Teoh, several service centre workers and volunteers.
During the walkabouts, Chow and his team members distributed recyclable bags containing election paraphernalia to the residents.
Chow shook hands and also obliged to take photographs with them.
Chow’s team also encouraged the residents to turn up in full force for a mega ceramah at Perkampungan Juru night market site tonight.
At Taman Perwira, Chow and his team started their campaign full of enthusiasm.
There, he visited various food stalls, engaged with patrons and also gave them a bag each containing election paraphernalia and the 2023 calendar.
Chow said he and his team would continue their series of walkabouts to cover as many places as they could under the Batu Kawan parliamentary constituency before the polling day.
He also urged the people to come out to vote during the polling day to decide on the Federal Government they want.
Chow and his team later proceeded to other walkabouts at Kebun Sireh and Kampung Gambir in Bukit Tengah, where they were also joined in by state executive councillor Chong Eng.
