CIVIL servants in Penang will be receiving a half-month special financial aid, with a minimum payment of RM1,200 under the state 2023 Budget.
Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow said the special aid would benefit 3,920 civil servants in Penang.
“An allocation of RM6.13 million has been set aside for the special aid.
“The Penang government is fortunate to have committed and dedicated civil servants. The civil servants have the integrity to ensure that the policies of the state are implemented successfully.
“The special aid is allocated in appreciation to the contribution of the civil servants. The Penang government hopes that civil servants in Penang will continue to provide excellent service to the public.
“The aid will be disbursed in December this year (2022),” Chow said when tabling the state 2023 Budget at the Penang Legislative Assembly today.
In addition, the Penang government has allocated RM900,000 in financial aid for supervisors and KAFA teachers, primary and secondary religious schoolteachers, staff and teachers of private Chinese schools, guru tahfiz, guru pondok and guru TADIS.
Supervisors and KAFA teachers, primary and secondary religious schoolteachers, staff and teachers of private Chinese schools would be receiving RM300 each; while guru tahfiz, guru pondok and guru TADIS would be receiving RM200 each.
The aid would also be distributed in December this year.
