PENANG DAP chairman Chow Kon Yeow has signalled that any official statement on his candidacy will come only after the nomination process is complete.
“The nomination process is still ongoing. We have to go through that process… After the nomination period, the candidates will be informed of their candidacy, and they are given time to accept or decline their candidacy,” Chow explained.
The nomination process is set to conclude on Aug 19.
With the nomination deadline fast approaching, both the public and political observers are closely monitoring the situation.
Recent media reports suggest that he may not contest in the polls, but the Penang Chief Minister remains tight-lipped.
