THE state government is committed to advancing the digital economy, technology, and innovation, collaborating closely with relevant agencies to foster growth in these crucial areas, says Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow at the MinitAgo Pop-Up event held today at Gurney Plaza.
MinitAgo, a Penang-based app, offers real-time mapping of ongoing events, enhancing accessibility worldwide while transforming ‘likes’ (Gems) into tangible value.
“In a world increasingly defined by technology and connectivity, the demand for solutions that streamline our lives is undeniable.
“With the advent of MinitAgo, we are at the vanguard of innovation, revolutionising how we engage with our environment, communicate, support local businesses, and enrich our communities,” Chow remarked.
Chow further highlighted that MinitAgo perfectly aligns with the vision of Digital Penang, striving to build a connected, creative, and competitive society essential for propelling Penang’s prosperity forward.
“We acknowledge the constantly evolving digital landscape.
“The MinitAgo team has meticulously crafted this app to be versatile and adept at embracing emerging technologies, all for the betterment of Penang communities.
“I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the entire MinitAgo team for its unwavering dedication and tireless efforts in bringing this innovative app to fruition,” Chow said.
Chow also urged the community to keep abreast with technological developments and hoped that merchants and entrepreneurs would benefit from the digital economy.
It is learned that as of February, the MinitAgo app has reached 10,000 users, and its partner, ZUS Coffee, has sponsored 10,000 vouchers for redemption.
MinitAgo proudly pioneers Penang’s first app-based treasure hunt experience.
Its founder Liou Hung Woei also teased upcoming thrilling offerings for users, urging them to stay tuned for exciting updates.
