ARE you craving mouthwatering Eurasian dishes like curry debal and sugee cake?
If so, do not miss the Penang Eurasian Fiesta, a fundraising food fair taking place this Saturday, Aug 17, at St Xavier’s Institution on Farquhar Street, from 10am to 6pm.
Organised by the Penang Eurasian Association (PEA) as part of the George Town Heritage Celebrations 2024, this one-day event aims to raise essential funds for the association.
PEA president Peter Pedley anticipates that around 3,000 to 4,000 visitors will attend.
“The goal of the food fair is to raise much-needed funds for our association. We are currently facing a significant shortfall, and this event is crucial for supporting the maintenance of our clubhouse and other necessary expenses,” he told Buletin Mutiara at the PEA office in Kelawai Road, Pulau Tikus today.
Preparation for the event is about 95% complete. Around 40 food vendors will set up stalls offering a diverse range of Eurasian delicacies, including local and halal options.
There will also be a bazaar with grocery items and live band performances throughout the day.
To purchase food, attendees will need to buy coupons, priced at RM20 per booklet, either from PEA representatives or on the event day.
For more information or to buy coupons, call Doreen at 016-499 3475, Millie (017-465 0614), Veronica (012-425 5014), Sandra (010-229 5660), or Colleen (016-456 3754).
Your support through attending and buying coupons will greatly benefit the Penang Eurasian Association.
