TRANSPORTATION service provider Lee Ting San Group of Companies has come forward once again to provide the necessary help to the Penang Hospital.

This time, the Group contributed medical and non-medical equipment worth RM106,670 to the Penang Hospital to help combat Covid-19.

Among the items donated were a high-flow nasal cannula, a BeneHeart D3 and pacer, an emergency cart, a BeneHeart ECG machine, laptops, printers, canvas beds, and patient monitors.

Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow said the need for medical and non-medical equipment is enhanced with the rising number of Covid-19 cases.

“The hospitals need the necessary equipment to support and treat the patients.

“The state government thank LTS Group of Companies for their assistance to the Penang Hospital. The Group had, on Aug 9, donated medical equipment worth RM21,600 to Penang Hospital,” he said after a simple presentation ceremony in Komtar today.

Chow hoped that the contributions by LTS Group of Companies could help the Penang Hospital and its patients.

In addition, he also commended the effort by PgCare Alliance, led by state Welfare and Environment Committee chairman Phee Boon Poh.

“The initiative to set up the PgCare Alliance to accelerate help to those in need is good. We can overcome this pandemic together with the non-governmental organisations, associations and industry players,” he said.

Also present were LTS Group of Companies executive director May Lee Hooi Pheng and Penang Hospital chief assistant director (medical) Dr Nurul Atiqah Ab. Aziz.
