IN preparation for the upcoming state election, Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow said the state Pakatan Harapan (PH) would be meeting up with the state Umno next week.
“We have received a request for a meeting from the state Umno and a tentative date has been set for next week.”
This will be the first state Umno-PH meeting to discuss seats for the state election.
“Meanwhile, the state PH will be meeting this week,” Chow told a press conference at Komtar today.
Presently, Umno holds the Permatang Berangan and Sungai Dua seats in Penang, occupied by Nor Hafizah Othman and Datuk Muhamad Yusoff Mohd Noor respectively.
The dissolution of the state assembly is expected to take place in May, with the state election likely to be held in June or July.
