THE component parties in the Penang Pakatan Harapan coalition will be presenting the conclusion of the state Pakatan Harapan meeting today to their respective central party leadership.
Penang Pakatan Harapan chairman Chow Kon Yeow, without revealing the details of the meeting, said it was decided that the state Pakatan Harapan component parties would present the result of the meeting to their respective central party leadership.
The Penang Pakatan Harapan component parties are DAP, PKR, and Amanah.
The state Pakatan Harapan meeting was called today to deliberate on several issues, assessed the current situation, and discuss whether Penang should dissolve the state assembly for polls to be held concurrently with the General Election. The meeting at Wisma DAP in Rangoon Road started at about 10am today and lasted around one hour.
The state DAP committee met yesterday evening (Oct 10) and will be presenting its decision to the DAP central executive committee (CEC), which will be meeting tonight (Oct 11).
Chow said the Amanah and PKR would have their central leadership committee meetings to discuss the matter.
“The matter may also be discussed at the Pakatan Harapan presidential council meeting,” he told reporters after the meeting.
