PREPARATIONS for the state election in Penang must be made soon to ensure victory for Pakatan Harapan (PH), says Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow.
Chow, who is also the state PH chairman, said the election machinery needs to work hard for the upcoming state polls.
“We need to mobilise our manpower and effort to face the state election which must be held this year.
“The PH presidential council meeting will take place tomorrow (Jan 7) to discuss matters concerning the state election,” said Chow during the Bukit Bendera parliamentary thanksgiving dinner at SJK (C) Shang Wu in Air Itam today.
At the event, Chow thanked the party staff who had assisted PH during the 15th General Election campaigning period.
He also commended volunteers who had provided their assistance.
Meanwhile, Bukit Bendera MP Syerleena Abdul Rashid thanked her supporters during her speech.
Also present during the dinner were DAP national chairman Lim Guan Eng, Tanjung Bungah assemblyman Zairil Khir Johari, Pulau Tikus assemblyman Chris Lee and former Bukit Bendera MP Wong Hon Wai.
