THE Penang Rotary Charity Golf 2025, held on Feb 28 at the Penang Golf Club in Bukit Jambul, concluded on a high note, marking yet another successful edition of the charitable sporting event.
With 60 enthusiastic golfers taking to the greens, the tournament not only fostered camaraderie and sportsmanship but also served a greater purpose—supporting individuals in need of life-saving medical care.
Following the tournament, a heartwarming fundraising dinner brought together community members, donors, and supporters, culminating in an impressive RM83,000 raised for the JHM Rotary Haemodialysis Centre. The event underscored the power of collective goodwill in driving meaningful change.
The charity tournament and dinner were spearheaded by organising chairperson Stephanie Wong and advisor Yap Fatt Lam, whose dedication and leadership played a pivotal role in ensuring the event’s success.
Wong acknowledged the relentless efforts of the committee members, whose hard work and commitment transformed the event into a memorable and impactful occasion.
“The funds raised will directly benefit the JHM Rotary Haemodialysis Centre, which has long been a beacon of hope for individuals requiring dialysis treatments.
“This contribution will further strengthen the centre’s ability to deliver critical healthcare services to patients in need,” Wong said.
Expressing her gratitude, Wong highlighted the generosity of golfers, sponsors, and attendees, all of whom played an essential role in making the event a success.
“We are thrilled by the overwhelming support from our community. This event would not have been possible without the tireless efforts of our dedicated team and the generosity of our donors.
“Together, we are making a meaningful difference in the lives of those who depend on the JHM Rotary Haemodialysis Centre,” she said.
She further emphasised that the success of this event is a testament to the power of collaboration, compassion, and shared commitment to community welfare.
“We take pride in contributing to such a vital cause and look forward to continuing our support in the years ahead,” Wong added.
Rotary International District 3300 Governor Arvind U Gopi Kumar, who was also present, extended his heartfelt appreciation to all participants, sponsors, and volunteers who played a role in making the Penang Rotary Charity Golf 2025 a resounding success.
