PENANG will be hosting the sixth Asia Pacific Conference on Public Health 2019 (APCPH 2019) from July 22 to 25 this year at Equatorial Penang.
The conference will be held for the first time in Penang and participants from the Asean countries and the Indian subcontinent will be taking part in the event.
The event is organised by the College of Public Health of the Academy of Medicine of Malaysia, together with Malaysian Armed Forces Health Services and the Penang Health Department.
College president Dr Sha’ri Ngadiman and his team paid a courtesy call on the Chief Minister at his office today to convey their thanks to him for allocating RM30,000 for the programme.
During the brief meeting, they discussed matters pertaining to urbanisation and its impact on health.
Among the programmes lined up are plenary and symposium sessions, workshops, free paper sessions as well as oral and poster sessions.
