“Positioned as a pivotal city port within the region, the Swettenham Pier Cruise Terminal in George Town stands as a testament to Penang’s unwavering dedication to providing unparalleled facilities and services tailored specifically to meet the needs of cruise tourists.
“Following a recent expansion, the terminal has undergone a remarkable transformation, significantly increasing its capacity to accommodate up to two quantum-size cruise ships and cater to a staggering 12,000 passengers simultaneously.
“This noteworthy achievement was recently underscored by the simultaneous berthing of both Genting Dream and Royal Caribbean Spectrum of the Seas, showcasing the terminal’s newfound capability and efficiency.
“The expanded facilities not only demonstrate Penang’s commitment to enhancing the cruise tourism experience but also position the state as a premier destination capable of hosting large-scale cruise operations,” he said.
