Penang welcomes Shenzhen Keyto’s first Southeast Asia manufacturing plant

A LEADING manufacturer of precision fluid control components and system solutions, Shenzhen Keyto Fluid Technology Co. Ltd, through its subsidiary Keyto MY Sdn Bhd, has officially opened its first state-of-the-art factory in Penang.

This marks the company’s inaugural presence in both the country and Southeast Asia.

 

The manufacturing facility is located in the Batu Kawan Industrial Park (BKIP).

 

Shenzhen Keyto Fluid Technology chairman Zhang Cheng stated that the new 3,540sq m manufacturing facility would focus on producing fluid management systems and precision components.

“This is essential for applications in medical devices, life science instruments, and environmental monitoring systems.

 

“With a projected sales revenue of RM65 million over the next three years, this project underscores the strong market potential and demand for high-precision fluid technology,” he said.

 

Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow, who officiated the opening ceremony, congratulated the company on beginning this exciting new chapter with its Malaysian subsidiary in Penang.

“Penang, advancing as a Silicon Research and Incubation Hub, has solidified its position as a preferred global destination for electronics and electrical investments in Southeast Asia.

 

“With five decades of industrialisation and a reputation for innovation and technological excellence, the state offers a thriving industrial ecosystem that naturally attracts investors.

 

“Keyto’s expansion into Penang is a testament to the state’s appeal as a preferred investment destination, supported by its robust ecosystem,” he said.

 

Chow further emphasised that the opening of Keyto’s facility in BKIP exemplifies the steadfast commitment of all parties, including the Penang government, in bringing this investment project to fruition.

 

“I would like to take this opportunity to express my appreciation to the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (Mida) and InvestPenang for their collaborative efforts in engaging investors and facilitating project implementation.

 

“Congratulations once again to Keyto MY on the opening of your new facility. May the company continue to grow and innovate here in Penang, the Silicon Valley of the East,” he concluded.

 

Also present during the opening ceremony were the Chinese consul-general in Penang Zhou Youbin, Bukit Tambun assemblyman Goh Choon Aik, Penang Mida director Muhammad Ghaddaffi Sardar Mohamed, and Keyto MY Sdn Bhd director Teoh Kee Hock.
