A TOTAL of 373 projects aligned with the strategic initiatives of the Penang2030 vision have reached an impressive overall progress rate of 73% to date.
During the opening of the Penang2030 Festival in Komtar today, Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow remarked on the positive growth and commended all parties involved for their diligent efforts.
However, he highlighted the continuous necessity for concerted efforts and active participation to ensure the realisation of all projects by 2030.
Furthermore, Chow reiterated the importance of unwavering commitment from fellow state representatives in aiding the government’s efforts to remain steadfastly focused on realising the Penang2030 vision within the designated timeframe.
“We have to ensure the active participation and involvement from the state executive councillors, champion officers, state assemblymen, and heads of departments from various state government agencies until we attain 100% completion across all the initiatives,” Chow said.
The two-day festival (Sept 21 and 22), which officially kicked off today, offers visitors a variety of exciting activities, such as colouring contests, e-sports games, science shows and mini zoos.

“We hope the public will visit Komtar these two days to learn more about the Penang2030 vision, while also enjoying the activities we have lined up,” Chow added.
