Penangite does his bit by donating face masks and sanitisers

A PENANGITE, running a factory in Selangor, feels burdened when he hears of the rise of Covid-19 cases in his home state.

EMP Image Solution Sdn Bhd managing director Prof Dr CocoAlex Yeoh decided that since his factory produces face masks and sanitisers, he sent 30,000 medical face masks and 300 bottles of sanitiser to the state government today.

He presented the items to state executive councillor Yeoh Soon Hin at Komtar, who then handed them over to the state Health Department representatives – deputy chief assistant medical officer Theayalan Vasudevan and senior assistant director Chan Pei Hong.

CocoAlex says his company will do what it can to help stem the Covid-19 tide.

“I am very concerned about Penang being in the red zone,” said CocoAlex, who hails from Air Itam.

“I wanted to help, so I got in touch with my father in Penang to link me to the appropriate people. As the Covid-19 cases continue unabated, Penang is my priority.

“This is my company’s CSR (corporate social responsibility). Whatever I can do or help as a Malaysian, I will do.”

He said he is proud that his company’s face masks are of high quality and the sanitisers are eco-friendly. Both are marketed under the empro brand.

He said EMP Image Solution, which has been in the business for 16 years, helps distribute face masks and sanitisers to old folks’ homes and other organisations in other states.

“We use Aerofit technology to provide full coverage you need to prevent microorganism from entering your respiratory system.

“This is a non-wrinkle mask that is supported by its ergonomic design for optimal comfort. Our masks will fit perfectly without hassle and leave your make up untouched.

“Moreover, we use premium grade material that’s proven to be gentle on the skin.”

Soon Hin thanked CocoAlex for his kind gesture, saying the gifts were just timely.

Theayalan says the state Health Department will distribute the face masks and sanitisers to low-risk Covid-19 centres, hospitals and district health clinics.

Theayalan said the state Health Department, through its pharmacy section, would be distributing the items based on priority, especially to low-risk Covid-19 centres like the Caring Society Complex, Balik Pulau Sports Complex and Pulaza in Balik Pulau.

“We’ll also distribute them to hospitals and district health clinics,” said Theayalan.
