Penang’s push for highly-skilled talents

PENANG requires a significant pool of highly-skilled talents to meet the growing demands of the state’s industries.

 

Deputy Chief Minister II Jagdeep Singh Deo highlighted the urgent need to train and develop these talents during his keynote speech at the Young Enterprise Penang Programme 2024 Annual Achievers Showcase at The Top Komtar today.

 

“This is a challenge for us, especially when we are striving to align industry needs with the right talents,” Jagdeep said.

 

“It is not an easy task, but the state remains committed to fulfilling its responsibility for Penang’s growth and development.”

 

Jagdeep expressed delight at the vibrant energy in the hall, filled with enthusiastic students.

“It is wonderful to witness such excitement and enthusiasm among the youth here. I believe all of you have the potential to become future leaders and entrepreneurs,” he said.

 

Jagdeep commended the Young Enterprise (YE) Programme for its impactful contributions over the past 35 years, nurturing exceptional talents.

 

“I look forward to seeing YE celebrate its 40th and 50th anniversaries in the future,” he remarked.

 

Stressing the importance of education as a foundation for success, Jagdeep reiterated that no one should be left behind in the pursuit of knowledge and opportunities.
