THE Penang First Assembly of God (PFAOG) brought joy to 25 charitable organisations by presenting each with a cheque for RM2,700, following its total collection of RM67,500 from its recent annual Christmas drama.

Rev Jessie Ngiam, the executive pastor of PFAOG, handed over the cheques to representatives of the organisations during a simple ceremony held at the church’s MMC premises in Persiaran Karpal Singh on Feb 23 (Sunday).

Molly Yeap, the church administrator, expressed gratitude to the public and church members for their contribution during the three nights of the drama, titled “Noah’s Ark, A New Beginning,” and the Christmas Service.

“It was a combined effort to reach out to the underprivileged. These charitable organisations are the unsung heroes of our nation, especially in Penang, who have contributed selflessly. The public should be aware of their good work and continue to support them, both morally and financially,” she said.

PFAOG has been organising its Christmas drama for the past 25 years, except during the Covid pandemic, initially supporting 10 charitable organisations before gradually expanding its contributions to more beneficiaries.
