THE Penang Forward Sports Club (PFSC) has continued its impressive streak on the international stage with a stellar performance at the Jinjiang Marathon 2024, held on Dec 1.

Building on their triumph at the Beijing Marathon last month, PFSC runners once again delivered outstanding results, cementing their reputation as formidable competitors.

Speaking to Buletin Mutiara, PFSC chairman Lim Choo Hooi lauded his team’s determination and ability to overcome challenges.

“They showed remarkable resilience and rose to the occasion to achieve a significant breakthrough in this marathon. It wasn’t easy due to the demanding routes, but our members exceeded expectations and delivered a brilliant result,” Lim said.

Leading by example, Lim himself clocked an impressive time of 3:30, despite having competed in back-to-back marathons over the past month. His unwavering stamina and performance set an inspiring example for the team.

The event also marked a diplomatic milestone, as a collaboration between the PFSC and the Jinjiang City Running Association was formalised. The partnership aims to foster closer ties and promote running as a shared passion between both organisations.

“This Jinjiang Marathon has not only showcased the unity of our team but has also brought glory to the running community. I was thrilled to lead the team, and I feel incredibly proud of our success,” Lim said.
