THE sales gallery of Penang International Commercial City (PICC) in Jalan Tun Dr Awang, Bayan Lepas, yesterday was transformed into a wondrous park made up of 20,000 LED lights.
With the lighting up of LED lights based on theme ‘Glow In The Park’ , visitors can now look forward to a dazzling display of LED flowers, giant butterflies, and windmill made up of flowers, LED see-saw and LED swing.
Launched by management of Hunza Properties Berhad, a group of 30 children from needy families from House of Hope also joined in the fun and dine at the sales gallery.
Each child was presented with a goodie bag worth RM100 while the community centre received grocery items worth a total of more than RM5,000 from Hunza.
Known as the new epicentre for commerce, PICC is a visionary masterpiece that represents Penang’s vibrant culture and strategic connectivity to integrated convenience. It is scheduled to be completed in 10 years.
Hunza Group managing director Datuk Khor Siang Gin said a total of 25,000sq ft of space have been carved out to build the LED park.
This is to allow the people to bring their families and friends to spend their leisure time.
“We hope to bring community together through this initiative,” he said.
The park is open to visitors from 10am to 9pm daily until June 30.
