PSEC platform to promote online learning and teaching, free membership for first year

PARENTS and pre-school teachers in Penang can now take the opportunity to register themselves on an online learning and teaching platform for a free one-year membership.

Called the PreschoolEducator.com (PSEC), the platform was developed by Whytehouse Education Group.

Whytehouse Education Group founder Jery Yeoh said the platform, which offers curated content by professionals meant for pre-school teachers and parents, is open free for the first 1,000 registrations.

He said it would be on a first-come first-served basis before going live in July this year.

“This will be an opportunity for parents and pre-school teachers to equip themselves with an unlimited content in PSEC. It will be free for the first year after which the annual membership fee is RM300.

“This platform is accessible on any device and anywhere in the world.

“There are various categories that are available for them to learn, which will benefit them when sharing the knowledge with the kids.

“As we all know, pre-school kids must be instilled with the relevant knowledge when they are learning,” he told a press conference in Komtar today.

State Non-Islamic Religious Affairs and Social Development Committee chairman Chong Eng, who was present, said PSEC connects educators and teachers globally through knowledge sharing.

“The Penang government is supportive of this effort and is pleased to have this partnership with WhyteHouse Education Group.

“Teachers can now upskill their knowledge and teaching techniques by learning from other professionals in the field, allowing them to keep up with the latest teaching trends to complement the current generation.

“In today’s pre-launching, we are giving out a free one-year membership for 1,000 interested pre-school teachers and parents in Penang. It is fully sponsored under my portfolio.

“We encourage teachers and parents who are interested to seize this opportunity and register for the membership,” she said.
