Pursuit of unity for sustainable progress

THE Pakatan Harapan and Barisan Nasional coalitions are tapping into each other’s strengths to send unity messages to their respective constituents.

Penang Pakatan Harapan chairman Chow Kon Yeow said both coalitions have their strengths, and the people must know the importance of unity.

“Having a unity government at the state level would mean Penang will grow in the same direction as the unity government at the Federal level.

“Both Pakatan Harapan and Barisan Nasional coalitions are coming together in unity for the benefit of the people. We want to ensure that the state continues to enjoy sustainable development and grow in the same direction as the Federal ‘unity’ Government.

“However, we have less than five days to deliver our unity messages to the rakyat,” he told reporters before joining Teluk Bahang Barisan Nasional candidate Ahmad Zaki Shah Shah Headan to engage the people at Teluk Bahang today.

As the Penang Pakatan Harapan chairman, Chow said he visited many state constituencies in Penang to show his support for the PH-BN ‘unity’ candidates.

Ahmad Zaki thanked Chow for his support, adding that it would bring a positive impact to both coalitions.

“I commend the newly launched Penang Unity Manifesto 2023 which has been well accepted by the people, especially the youth,” he said.

Ahmad Zaki urged the constituents to choose a state ‘unity’ government to progress together with the Federal Government.
