HAVING travelled to so many countries and explored various states, Argentinian author-cum-journalist Dr Juan Braun still loves Penang.
Each time he travels to Penang, he would stay for about a month.
Little did he know that his trip to Penang this time would earn him a chance to take a memorable photo with Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow.

He was about to order a chapati from a food truck in Little India when Chow and his team presented him with a 2020 calendar.
Smiling, Dr Braun received the calendar, took a nice photo and had a light moment with the Chief Minister.
“What I love most about Penang are the smiles. The people here love to smile.
“I have met with wonderful people in Penang; people who are pleasant and friendly.
“I love Penang so much that I wrote about Penang in my book ‘Jaguar ILLUMINATI!: Go to India!’. There are two chapters in the book which featured Penang and Melaka,” Dr Braun said.
He said that he would be in Penang for about a month before leaving for Kuching, Sandakan and Brunei.

Chow and the volunteers from Padang Kota service centre and Lebuh Chulia Village Community Management Council (MPKK) toured Little India to distribute the calendars to traders and visitors there.

He also surprised visitors at the Wonderfood Museum and took some cute photos with the larger-than-life ‘food’ displays.
