AFTER a hiatus of three years due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the QNET’s V-Convention was back in Penang last night, attracting over 15,000 members and guests from over 30 countries.
Taking place at the iconic Setia SPICE Arena in Bayan Lepas, QNET’s five-day gathering until Oct 11 marks the first physical V-Convention since 2019. Its theme for this year was ‘Be the Change’.
QNET, a prominent direct-selling company, was a hit among the audiences as the crowd went into a frenzy upon seeing the founder Datuk Seri Vijay Eswaran entering the arena.
A Penangite himself, Vijay responded by saluting the crowd.
State Tourism and Creative Economy Committee chairman Yeoh Soon Hin, who represented Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow at the event, noted the strong presence of QNET’s delegates across the world.
“I am thrilled to welcome all of you to the beautiful city of Penang to share and exchange insights to achieve milestones together.
“This week-long largest convention will spur the state’s economy and provide a platform for entrepreneurs and leaders to renew their dedication to success.
“I hope to see those present here can check out the hidden gems in Penang and have a better understanding of what we can offer for a distinctive experience.
“I hope all of you here can enjoy our city’s rich heritage and warm hospitality,” he said in his speech.
Yeoh paid his tribute to Vijay for being a great entrepreneur.
Customers and distributors from QNET’s key regional markets in the Middle East, Central Asia, Africa, Indian sub-continent, Indonesia and Malaysia are attending this year’s convention.
Among those present were Q1 Group Executive deputy chairman Joseph Bismark, Q1 Malaysia chairman Tan Sri Megat Najmuddin Megat Khas and other prominent business partners.
