“I believe he will do his best for Jawi and the state.

“Bukit Tambun assemblyman Goh Choon Aik has been appointed as a director for Penang Development Corporation (PDC) and InvestPenang. I am sure he would be able to contribute much to the state with his expertise in development.

“Goh has also won the Bukit Tambun seat with an increased majority of 3,000-odd votes.

“Meanwhile, veteran politician Datuk Law Choo Kiang has been appointed as the Penang State Legislative Assembly Speaker for the third term,” Chow said in his speech during the Unity dinner at SJK (C) Pai Teik in Nibong Tebal today.

Chow also mentioned that Sungai Acheh assemblyman Rashidi Zinol has been appointed as the state Trade, Entrepreneurial Development and Rural Development Committee chairman.

“This is a remarkable feat for the people in the south Seberang Perai district,” he said.
