KANADA-YA, the renowned ramen chain from Japan, has made its much-awaited debut in Malaysia with the opening of an outlet at G Hotel in Gurney Drive, George Town today.
Hailing from Fukuoka, the ultimate ramen destination, Kanada-Ya has garnered a loyal following and long queues at its 17 outlets in Japan, London, Hong Kong, Spain, Singapore and Taiwan.
It is best known for its delectably rich tonkutsu ramen broth, which the restaurant takes pride in an 18-hour long simmering process that results in an exceptionally thick and flavourful consistency.
The restaurant’s signature dish is the coveted truffle ramen, which is only limited to 20 bowls a day.
To celebrate its grand opening, Kanada-Ya is offering a special promotion of a 50% discount for a second bowl of ramen, with no minimum spend required. The offer is valid from May 30 to June 4.
Present during the opening ceremony were guest of honour state Tourism and Creative Economy Committee chairman Yeoh Soon Hin, Pengkalan Kota assemblyman Daniel Gooi, and other distinguished guests.
