PULAU Tikus assemblyman Chris Lee has launched the ‘Pulau Tikus Tapao Campaign’ which comes with a food promo code (PULAUTIKUS) for online food orders.

He said the campaign was initiated to restore the food businesses in his constituency which were impacted due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

“We have now partnered with DeliverEat.my, a local food delivery company, which has come forward to help us with our initiative.

“I believe this move will help to revive the businesses of the traders in Pulau Tikus and at the same time, it will help to alleviate the traffic congestion in this neighbourhood.

“This campaign is also in line with my election manifesto which is, ‘Rejuvenate the Socio-economic Landscape of Pulau Tikus,’’ Lee said during the launch of the campaign today at the Selera Nuri restaurant in Pulau Tikus.

Meanwhile, Lee and his team had come up with a special video, hosted by local artist Chelsia Ng on Pulau Tikus’ famous food outlets.

“My office will continue to promote businesses here (Pulau Tikus) in various ways to enhance the local economy and ensure that they benefit from Digital Economy.

“I would like to welcome other food ordering businesses and delivery businesses as well as other partners to join our campaign to help the local businesses especially the small traders,’’ added Lee.

DeliverEat.my co- founder Tan Suan Sear said over 100 food operators in the vicinity of Pulau Tikus are participating in the campaign.

“Those who order online for self-pick up can enjoy a 15 percent discount plus a RM3 waiver using the promo code (PULAUTIKUS) while for those who opt for delivery are entitled for a 15 percent discount.
