“I submitted an official request to Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi on Feb 23, seeking a special allocation for upgrading federal roads in the Bagan parliamentary constituency.

“I was pleased to receive a prompt response on March 5, approving RM2.3 million for these infrastructure improvements.

“Of the total allocation, RM1.8 million will be utilised for road maintenance along federal route FT001 near Taman Selat.

“Meanwhile, RM500,000 will be allocated for upgrading the pedestrian walkway along federal road FT3111 at Jalan Permatang Pauh, near Bagan Specialist Centre.

“These projects are expected to commence in the fourth quarter of this year,” Lim said.

He also expressed his gratitude to Nanta for the swift approval, emphasising that such initiatives reflect the benefits of collaboration between the state and federal governments.
